• Preschool (Ages 2 1/2 – 5)
  • All areas of a preschool program are included with a particular awareness of sensory needs and safety.  A therapeutic classroom works with the individual child’s multiple needs and strengths, while at the same time facilitating group cohesion.

Core values reflected in our classroom environment include positive self-identity, feelings of competence, emotional and behavioral self-regulation, collaborative problem-solving, tolerance, respect for others, personal initiative and kindness.  We provide a wide variety of materials and techniques, encouraging the individual to create and express his/her talents, thoughts and feelings in such activities as:

  • Reading & Story TellingMusic & Movement
    Nature Science & Math
    Dramatic PlayWritten Language
    Gym Indoor & Outdoor Play
    Sand or Water Play
  • A journal is maintained for each child, which contains examples of their work, photographs, observations, input from families, and dictated stories. These journals belong to the child. They are a reflection of the journey and growth of each child while at WLP and a great connection between home and school
